Good Illustrators

This is the work of God Machine. I really admire his illustration technique and how well he makes the goriest stuff look cartoony.

This is the work of my favorite artist, Alex Pardee. I love his characters and how well he makes his characters seem cute even though horribly disgusting stuff is happening. His portfolio is definitely something to behold.

Interface Design: The Emerson Theater

This was my sketch for my iPhone based interface. Below is my product.

This is my second sketch and product. I based it off of a 1408 movie poster. Followed is my third sketch and product based off of a print ad by Scott Hansen.

The Art of War

Last night I was at a lock-in with a graphics design community at IUPUI. I entered an illustration contest, and made this between the hours of 9pm-6am. As proud as I am to say it, I won the contest and got a free graphics tablet!

Anyways, I made this in Illustrator and then brought it over to Photoshop to finish the job. It's inspired by my last piece, and I think I did a better job on this one than the latter.

Illustration Friday: Pattern

This was a project for my CGT 251 class. We were to submit a design to a contest on illustrationfriday.com. The topic this week was pattern. I did all my drawing in Illustrator CS3, and I finished it up in Photoshop CS3.

Sarah Fisher Helmet Design Contest

For our CGT 251 class at IUPUI, we had to enter a design in Sarah Fisher's helmet design contest. It was supposed to have an overall "pink" theme, as Fisher is trying to support breast cancer research. I had to have the Komen logo on there, as well as only using only those two pink colors, black, and white. Below are my final product and some preliminary sketches.

This is my final design that I entered in the contest. I tried to make it seem fast, while maintaining a good amount of femininity.

These are my preliminary sketches. We have been taught the importance of research and planning here at IUPUI, and its definitely an invaluable time saver. So much of my time was spent just researching Sarah Fisher and what she seems to like. Also, sketching saved me so much time, which was great because I only had a week do to this.

Company Branding

This is my primary concept, and I think it has the most potential. Currently, I am having difficulties choosing imagery for INTR and CGT departments. However, when I do, it's going to be amazing :]

This concept is typography based. I have the logos with kind of a gradient curve to give it the sleek technology feel that was requested. I tried to use negative space to bring all the logos together.

This concept is typography based too, but I tried to make it more tech-feeling.
